Tolls are another Tax On the Poor

The wealthy are impacted relatively less by the impact of having to pay a toll to cross the river.

Tolls restrict job opportunities for the unemployed. If a worker in one state gets a job in the other state they will have to pay $875 to $1750 in bridge tools per year to get to work. A low income or under employed citizen can hardly bare the extra expense while the wealthy will hardly know the difference.

Tolls limit the free movement of citizens. All people, rich or poor, should have free access to our transprotation system. A family of moderate means should not have to restrict activities to one side of the river or the other in order to cut expenses.
